Anyone contemplating a walk or cycle ride across the Humber Bridge should be aware that both walk/cycle ways have been closed because of a recent tragic prevalence of suicides. The bridge board is setting up a system which will permit essential journeys, such as commuting, to be undertaken (i.e. by prior registration) and hope to have the lanes reopened for leisure crossing in May.
