With effect from Monday 25th January 2021, the Barton Line train service will be withdrawn. It is expected that there will be a replacement bus service operating in the morning and evening peaks. I will post the full bus timetable once it is confirmed. If there is anybody who needs to travel in line with the current government guidance outwith these times who cannot do so could they please contact me and I will put them in touch with Northern. It is hoped that Northern will be in a position to reinstate the train service within two weeks of the suspension, subject to instructions from the Department for Transport.
