This week's Transport for the North 'Did you Know' feature is on the county of North Lincolnshire:

It is, in my personal view, that all of TfN's plans for future transport investment in the local authority area seem to be focussed on roads.
There has been some rail suggestions

Indeed - it is a shame that TfN have not included them in their focus on North Lincolnshire. Hopefully this is not an indication that the ideas have been abandoned.
Whilst not a Barton Line issue, I would hope that the Growth Deal improvements in Scunthorpe include improved connections between rail and bus. Currently, these are amongst the worst in the country - I would hope that a solution could be found such that all bus routes serve both the railway station and the town centre, providing a frequent link between the two for those who can't manage the walk, with proper interchange facilities and information provision at the railway station. Even a couple of well served stops outside the station, with passenger information and safe road crossing to reach them (I think there is already a zebra crossing in place) would be a huge imrpovement.
