With reference to the proposed trip from New Clee to Withernsea by public transport, I propose the following first draft of possible times, based on the current Saturday timetables:

(Barton 07:45)

New Clee 08:58 (depart by train)

Barton 09:46 - 10:03 (EYMS 350 Fast Cat)

Hull 10:35 - 11:10 (EYMS EastRider X7)

Withernsea 12:14

Three hours to visit the inland lighthouse, Old Boat House micropub, eat chips, etc as per members' preferences.

Withernsea 15:13 (EYMS EastRider X7)

Hull 16:20 - 16:45 (EYMS 350 Fast Cat)

Barton 17:32 - 17:55 (train)

New Clee 18:44

Suggested tickets would be New Clee - Barton cheap day returns for £8.60 and an EYMS Go Anywhere ticket for £12.50.

It would be possible to modify the plan to leave Withernsea later, at 17:47 connecting with the 20:01 train from Cleethorpes, although this would involve using a Stagecoach service across the Humber Bridge with a higher fare involved.

It would also be possible to use the service 75 between Withernsea and Hull in oder to experience a slightly different route via Burstwick with a longer break in Hull at the expense of some time in Withernsea.

I would be interested to hear of members' thoughts on this trip.

Due to the government restriction on mass gatherings, the group trip from New Clee to Withernsea is now fully booked. If there is interest from members unable to be accommodated, we will endeavour to rerun the trip.

All those who have expressed an interest by email have a place on the trip - an email with full details will be sent to those people later this evening.
