Led by TransPennine Express Trains and the Watkin Society, a blue plaque to commorate Edward Watkin, a man pivotal in bringing the railway to the town and making it into a tourist destination, will be unveiled on the concourse of Cleethorpes station this Friday 15th November 2024 at 13:00 by Melanie Onn MP. The unveiling is a public event.
There will be an educational board to be installed and unveiled at a future date.
