TransPennine Express Trains have introduced their Hitachi bimode trains on many of their services on the route from Hull Paragon to Liverpool. These will run on electric mode from Stalybridge to Liverpool. The service is the first hourly service from Hull through to Liverpool since 1979.

You can connect in to the service from the Barton Line using Stagecoach service 250 service from Barton to Hull, giving quicker links, in particular to Selby, Leeds and Huddersfield. 

 

Hull City Council today organised a launch event for the upgraded service.
