In response to a query from a member at the recent OGM, on Sundays 27th October - 11th October track renewal in the Kirk Sandall area neccesitated the closure of the line.
In my opinion, it is a shame that TPE traincrew at Cleethorpes and Sheffield don't sign the diversionary route via Carcroft and Adwick, which would have allowed a train service to run serving all the booked stations (bar Kirk Sandall on the last Saturday night eastbound service) with only a short increase in journey time.
On 11th October, when the disruption extended through to Cleethorpes, the pointwork at Marsh West Jn was renewed..
