Due to predicted flooding, services from Cleethorpes, Grimsby Town and Habrough to Sheffield and Liverpool will be replaced by buses between Doncaster and Sheffield. Tickets will also be passed via Leeds.
There will be no local bus services.
Barton Line, Brigg Line and Grimsby - Lincoln - Leicester services are currently expected to run as booked.
From Monday 6th until Friday 10th January 2025, TransPennine Express Trains services from Cleethorpes, Grimsby Town and Habrough will terminate at Doncaster. Connecting Northern and CrossCountry trains services will run from Doncaster to Sheffield. TPE services will resume from Doncaster to Manchester Piccadilly, alternating between replacement buses and diverted rail services. Normal services resume from Manchester Oxford Road to Liverpool Lime Street.
Due to their paths out of Sheffield being taken by diverted trains, Brigg Line trains will be suspended. Passengers should travel on the 08:37 service from Sheffield to Retford, from where a replacement bus service will run to Cleethorpes at 10:30, serving Grimsby Town at 12:25, arriving Cleethorpes at 12:45. In the reverse direction, a replacement bus will run from Cleethorpes to Retford at 13:25, serving Grimsby Town at 13:45, connecting with the 15:57 train onwards to Sheffield.
On Sunday 12th January 2025, morning services between Manchester Piccadilly and Sheffield are replaced by buses.
08:12 Manchester Piccadilly - Cleethorpes, booked Habrough 10:27, Grimsby Town 10:41, Cleethorpes 10:52 will start from Sheffield at 09:09. A replacement bus service will run from Manchester Piccadilly to Sheffield at 07:25.
09:09 Manchester Piccadilly - Cleethorpes, booked Habrough 11:27, Grimsby Town 11:41, Cleethorpes 11:52 will start from Sheffield at 10:10. A replacement bus service will run from Manchester Piccadilly to Sheffield at 08:30.
